Evangelist Rita Wheelright is a native of Mississippi. After moving to El Paso, Texas, she joined the Holy Light Church of God in Christ (COGIC), Inc. where the pastor is Bishop J. O. Lawson. In 2013, she received Evangelist Missionary credentials. In 2023, Supervisor D. Lynnette Riddick appointed Evangelist Wheelright as District Missionary for the Immanuel District. In 2018 and 2020, Bishop Joel H. Lyles, Jr. appointed Evangelist Wheelright as Assistant General Secretary, COGIC Office of the General Secretary, overseeing Training and Development. In 2013, Bishop Lawson appointed Evangelist Wheelright as Jurisdictional Secretary where she served until 2022. She also served as Special Program Coordinator for the TWJ Women’s Department.
In her local church, Evangelist Wheelright serves with the Prayer Ministry and on the finance committee. She served as Chief Finance Officer (CFO), and Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Administrator at Holy Light COGIC. Evangelist Wheelright has also served in various other positions to include Usher President, Nursery President, Sunday School teacher, Director of Women’s Ministry, and Finance Secretary. She is also an active Board of Directors officer of Holy Light COGIC and a board member Her Pantry. Previous boards include TWJ Executive Board, TWJ Community Outreach Initiative and civic board, The Links, Incorporated (El Paso).
Evangelist Wheelright holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Mississippi Valley State University, and a master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. She attended the Texas Western Jurisdiction C. H. Mason Bible Institute. Her professional background includes working in the areas of Information Technology as a Computer Programmer, Government Property Management, Logistics and Asset Management, and Project and Program Management. Evangelist Wheelright also holds a Supply Chain and Logistics Certification from Georgia Tech, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification through Microsoft, A+ (Computer) Certification through CompTIA, and a Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM) certification. Professional membership includes the National Property Management Association (NPMA), National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP), and Grant Professionals Association (GPA).
Evangelist Wheelright is married to Cecil Wheelright, Sr., and they have two children, Cecil Jr. and Michael. The Wheelrights have two grandchildren.

Evangelist LaShonda Brown-Jordan
LaShonda Brown-Jordan was born the oldest of 6 children to the proud parents of Pastor Willie L. Brown and Dist. Missionary Emma J. Brown of Monroe, Louisiana. She is married to Dr. Russell Jordan. Together they are the blended family support system to 4 children—Raheem, Miles, Jaylen and Brittany, and their 4 granddaughters Neviah, Taylor, Brooklyn and Bailey.
District Missionary Jordan has had a connection to God since her childhood. In May 1993 she began a relationship with God, who saved her and filled her with His Holy Spirit. She is a graduate of J.W. C.O.G.I.C. Institute (2003) & C.H. Manson Bible College (2005). She received her Evangelist license in 2007 in the Louisiana 1st Jurisdiction, Prelate Bishop Roy L.H. Winbush, via Department of Women, under the leadership of Supervisor Vanessa Winbush Gatlin. She has served COGIC on the local, district, and jurisdictional levels. In the last 27 years, she has been a preacher, reacher and a teacher in many different areas. She has served in two states, Louisiana and Texas, and in two countries—the U.S.A and South Korea—in the following positions: Youth Coordinator/Director, Purity Leader, Business and Professional Women: Co Chair Person, Musician, Chief of Finances, Sunday School Teacher, Public Relations, Motivational Speaker, Writer, Leadership Coordinator, District Evangelist, International Evangelist, and International Women Convention Speaker.
District Missionary Jordan studied Secondary Education with emphasis on English and secondary History at Northeast of Louisiana University (NLU) which is now (ULM) University of Louisiana at Monroe. Teacher: Greater Ouachita Dist. Tutorial Program. Mentor Program: Monroe City School System. Certificate for Project Management and Human Resource: Bloomfield College. Currently enrolled at (GCU) Grand Canyon University; Forensic Psychology. Evangelist Beverly Franklin
Evangelist Beverly Franklin was born November 17, 1968 in Sumter, South Carolina to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Myers. She graduated from Mayewood High School June 5, 1987, and continued her educational pursuits at DeVry Institute of Technology in Decatur, GA, and Central State University in Wilberforce, OH earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She then joined the U.S Army and served her country for four years.
Evangelist Franklin accepted Christ as her personal Savior in 1994 and she answered her call into the Ministry of Jesus Christ in 1998. Since then, she has served in various capacities within the Church: She served as Adjutant at Victory Through Faith in Kitzingen, Germany; Sunday School Teacher at Restoration Ministries, Kitzingen , Germany and Full Gospel Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C in Hinesville, GA; Youth Coordinator at Victory Through Faith in Kitzingen, Germany, Full Gospel Tabernacle COGIC in Hinesville, GA and Word of Life Ministries COGIC in El Paso, TX; Ministers’ & Deacons’ Wives President at Full Gospel Tabernacle COGIC in Hinesville, GA; Sunshine Band President at Prayer Garden COGIC in Dayton, OH; Prayer & Bible Band President at Word of Life Ministries COGIC in El Paso, TX; Treasurer of the Women’s Department for the Texas Western Jurisdiction in El Paso, TX; and District Missionary for the Immanuel District of the Texas Western Jurisdiction. For more than 15 years, Rev. Mary Yoly Moore has conducted interviews as a Christian Television host with LIFE! Christian Broadcasting Network KSCE -TV Channel 38 Christian Television in El Paso, Texas. She was a former Army Community Service Director and Federal Agent. She always shared with the clients that with God all things are possible and, consequently, that was the foundation of Living Sacrifice Outreach Ministries of which she is now the Pastor.
Rev. Moore graduated from high school in Kaiserslautern, Germany, and lived in Germany for 18 years as a family member. She completed
Her undergraduate degree (B.A,) in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Maryland and her graduate degree (MSHP) from Troy University! She also completed the Texas Western Jurisdiction (TWJ) C.H. Mason Bible Institute ordination certificate and licensing requirements for ordination.
Rev. Moore ministers to a Spanish speaking congregation, but also ministers multi-culturally in hospitals and prisons in both Spanish and English. Additionally, Rev. Moore is a member of the local German-American and French-American clubs in El Paso, Texas.
Rev. Moore was married for 53 years to Pastor Michael B. Moore, who went on to be with God Almighty. She has 5 adult children and two adult grandchildren.
